Training Platforms
MOUSE (Mobile Optical Ultrasonic Sensor Explorer) is a family of system-of-systems - spacecraft, quadcopter drone, and ground vehicle - serving as flexible, equivalent stand-ins to real-world platforms for cybersecurity training, testing, and evaluation. Our "Iron" variants, like IRON GALAXY and IRON RODENT, are virtualized and hardware-in-the-loop cyber replicas of these systems, inspired by the aerospace Iron Bird concept, enabling scalable, repeatable training without physical hardware.

Ground Vehicle
An autonomous ground vehicle emulating real-world vehicle subsystems. Integrated into ROME (Remote Operating MOUSE Environment), a distributed live, virtual, and constructive (LVC) training platform for ground vehicle cybersecurity scenarios.
Quadcopter Drone
Emulates an airborne system-of-systems. It includes communications, navigation, and identification (CNI), storage, sensors, vehicle management, and mission computer subsystems for comprehensive drone cybersecurity training.
sUAS Demonstrator
A test bench for MOUSE subsystem security and small unmanned aerial system (sUAS) cybersecurity demonstrator for the MOUSE MKIII platform. Used for hands-on security testing and evaluation of drone subsystems.
Read more about the IRON RODENT in our two-part article: The Iron Bird and Iron Rodent and The Iron Rodent @DEF CON.
Space Systems Demonstrator
A cutting-edge, customizable hardware-in-the-loop training solution spanning the space, ground, and link segments. IRON GALAXY provides realistic space systems cybersecurity training environments using the MOUSE MKIV Spacecraft platform.
The IRON GALAXY Space Cyber Range provides an immersive environment for space systems cybersecurity training. It features a dual-satellite mission architecture (LEO+MEO), a Mission Operations Center (MOC) with parallel mission control stacks (YAMCS and COSMOS), four geographically dispersed ground stations, and realistic CCSDS Space Packet Protocol flows for telemetry and telecommand. Red teams target mission apps, ground station links, routing logic, and OT services, while blue teams detect, analyze, and respond across the ground segment using industry-standard defensive tools.
The IRON GALAXY Space Cyber Range is the primary training environment for our Cybersecurity Fundamentals for Space course. It is also available for purchase for organizations looking to conduct their own cybersecurity training exercises and evaluations. Contact us for pricing and configuration options.
