The Space Domain is no longer isolated and neither are its threats. Defending space systems requires more than traditional cybersecurity. This course prepares professionals to understand the full mission and tackle the unique challenges of cybersecurity from a space-based perspective.


The Cybersecurity Fundamentals for Space (CFS) program is an ANAB-accredited certificate program delivered by CT Cubed Inc., the accredited certificate issuer, in accordance with ANSI/ANAB E2659.
The certificate is valid for 3 years from issuance. The minimum passing score on the summative exam is 75%.

Powered by the IRON GALAXY Space Cyber Range, the capstone is an interactive live exercise where participants serve as Satellite Operators and Analysts in a multi-round team competition. Over several rounds, students operate and monitor their virtual satellite for evidence of compromise, reacting in real-time to evolving threats.
IRON GALAXY is a full-stack space cyber range that provides a high-fidelity emulation of the entire satellite mission chain. It models every component of a space operation, including spacecraft, ground stations, Mission Operations Centers (MOCs), and planning systems, using real industry satellite command and control tools like Yamcs and COSMOS.
IRON GALAXY operates with CCSDS space packet protocols, realistic orbital mechanics, pass windows, and distributed ground stations with complex routing. This trains defenders to translate network events into mission impact, not just focus on computers, but understand mission degradation. Students learn to fight through cyber attacks and understand why secure design of space systems is vital to building resilient space enterprises.
